Lunch & Learn - Professionals

Julie (she/ her) is a counsellor/educator at the Gold Coast Centre Against Sexual Violence. She is also a registered psychologist, and holds qualifications in education, and training. In addition to holding counselling roles for over 24 years, Julie works in adult education, she currently holds roles at Endeavour College of Natural Health and Bond University.

Inspired by her counselling work at GCCSAV, and roles as an educator, in 2021 Julie completed a scoping review of high school responses to peer sexual violence. During this lunch and learn session Julie will introduce her motivations for sopping this body of literature, describe the review process, highlight some findings, and discuss implications for educators, administrators and systems engaged in supporting survivors of school related peer sexual violence . This session will have relevance for teachers, guidance officers, school psychologists and administrators.
