About the event

The Candle Lighting & Survivor Speak Out is our powerful way to stand alongside survivors and show them they are heard and believed.

On Thursday 12th October 2023 we will come together to take part in the Candle Lighting Ceremony alongside survivors, their supporters, and GCCASV staff. Sexual violence is a dark subject, often shrouded in secrecy and isolation for victim/survivors. By lighting candles, we can start to shed light on the subject and show our support and celebrate the strength and courage it has taken people all over the world to survive the sexual violence that has been perpetrated against them.

This is a closed event for clients and staff only.

For clients who wish to attend or feel they may want to Speak Out please talk with your counsellor.

We encourage the public to hold their own Candle Lighting Ceremony in your workplace or home. You might like…
